Workplace stress can affect energy, focus, mood, sleep, and the way we feel in our bodies. Creating opportunities for employees to step away from their responsibilities, even briefly, can serve as an important reminder that caring for ourselves is not a luxury. It is an essential part of maintaining balance and resilience.
Last summer, I had the honor of participating in the Annual Employee Mental Health Awareness Fair at Los Robles Regional Medical Center. The event gave employees an opportunity to pause, connect, and explore different approaches to supporting their mental, emotional, and physical health. I was grateful to be included and to introduce attendees to the calming and restorative practices of sound healing.

Throughout the event, I shared information about the science and intention behind sound healing, including the use of singing bowls, tuning forks, and specific frequencies. Sound and vibration can help create an environment that encourages the body and mind to slow down, relax, and shift away from the constant stimulation of daily life.
I also introduced employees to Reiki energy healing and explained how these practices can support relaxation, emotional balance, self-awareness, and a greater sense of connection.
Reiki and sound healing can complement other forms of physical, emotional, and psychological care while offering another avenue to explore as part of a personal self-care practice.
One of the most rewarding parts of the event was seeing how open and curious people were about holistic wellness. Many attendees were interested in learning how sound, frequency, and energy practices might fit into their own lives and help them create more moments of calm.

Events like the Employee Mental Health Awareness Fair broaden the conversation around wellness by reminding us that there are many ways to care for ourselves.
Sound healing, Reiki, meditation, movement, journaling, and other complementary practices can each offer a different path toward slowing down, reconnecting with the body, and becoming more aware of what we need.
I am grateful to Los Robles Regional Medical Center for inviting me to take part in this meaningful event. It was inspiring to connect with so many people who were open to exploring new ways to support their health and create greater balance in their lives.
